Elizabeth Shipiatsky founded Ballet Melange in 2017, providing a performance platform for seasoned professionals and early career artists, while also employing well-seasoned national and international guest artists and choreographers to produce professional performances of excellent quality for a growing audience. Under Ms. Shipiatsky’s leadership as Artistic Director, Ballet Melange has produced several full-length ballets including Giselle, Le Corsaire, The Nutcracker, and Cipollino, along with several mixed bill performances.
Ballet Melange's diverse repertoire, encompassing classical and contemporary works, offers dancers exciting challenges and opportunities for artistic growth, collaboration with industry-leading coaches and choreographers, and the chance to contribute to the vibrant cultural landscape of our community through multiple performances each year. Ballet Melange also provides a rigorous trainee program for company apprentices. Ballet Melange trainees are immersed in a professional environment, gaining valuable stage experience and mentorship, with the potential to advance into full company positions.
We are committed to providing a supportive and challenging environment where dancers can thrive and achieve their full potential. At Ballet Melange, we believe that talent deserves to be seen, nurtured, and celebrated. We are dedicated to empowering dancers to pursue their passion and contribute their unique artistry to the world of dance.
